Dr. Jacob Rivard is a chiropractic physician with a background in exercise physiology and a strong interest in sports medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and evidence-informed patient care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Michigan Technological University before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at National University of Health Sciences.
During his clinical training, Dr. Rivard completed an externship at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute, gaining experience working with a diverse range of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. He also holds certifications in dry needling and shockwave therapy.
Dr. Rivard has developed extensive experience providing medical support at athletic and sporting events, including the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, US Open Judo, rugby events, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions, rowing championships, and wheelchair rugby. These experiences have strengthened his interest in helping active individuals manage injuries, improve movement, and return to the activities they enjoy.
He is committed to providing individualized, patient-centered care that combines clinical knowledge, hands-on treatment, and an understanding of exercise and human movement. Dr. Rivard’s goal is to help patients better understand their condition, actively participate in their recovery, and build a foundation for long-term health and performance.
